Formula 1 in schools (F1 in schools) is an international competition for schools, where students of ages 11-19 form a team or a group. Our main task is to design and manufacture a miniature racing car using CAD/CAM modelling software. In addition, the car is either milled as a whole from a blank with a CNC milling machine or added to a 3D printer. In the national championship, the two (miniature) racing cars (ours and the opposing team’s) will be competing against each other, in a 23.65m race track. The group is also evaluated in different evaluation categories.
The exterior or graphic design of the car in terms of an effective marketing strategy holds great significance in the area of evaluation.
