Team Description

Speed of change consists of 13 high school students who will represent the German School of Thessaloniki in the F1 in Schools 2022-2023 competition.

This year is our rookie season, and we hope to make it to the national finals as a first main team goal. On the way there we want to develop the various skills we need (designing, constructing, analyzing, marketing, sponsorship raising) and improve our cooperation in so as to be able to enjoy any success we may have together as a team.

Our School

The German School of Thessaloniki (DST) is a private school in Thessaloniki, Greece, which was established in 1888.

DST has a tradition of providing advanced education to all their students and encourages them to participate in extracurricular activities.

While languages were the main focus in the past at our school students cannot only learn German and Greek, but also English, French and Ancient Greek, and programs like Model United Nations or student parliaments are promoted. DST was recently awarded a MINT certificate, which effectively means that both inside and outside the classroom math, IT and natural sciences have grown in importance and clubs like ours encourage students to develop their skills in these fields.
